Spiritual And Emotional Care

Spiritual and Emotional Care (S&EC) are critical needs for maintaining healthy communities, during the Pandemic and as PEOPLE experience life altering events, such as isolation, job loss, loss of healthcare, domestic violence, personal injury, death, natural disasters, divorce, wars, racial discrimination, etc. In this pandemic, the need for spiritual and emotional support is amplified. The impact and effects of early closings and the reopening of schools on the mental and emotional well-being and safety of teachers, administrators, staff, parents, grandparents, and our most precious children emphatically highlights the need for S&EC services during and following COVID 19.
In these times, it is important that individuals and families seek emotional and spiritual support. You can contact Arizona Community Information and Referral Services by dialing 211 for that support. Whatever you are feeling or whatever your situation, let someone know you need help. Reach out to a minister, pastor, rabbi, therapist, counselor, chaplain. If a professional is not readily available, reach out to a trusted friend or family member to talk about how you are feeling.
If there are no policies or legislation providing for this type of coverage, upon election, I would be amenable to proposing such to the legislature for consideration.
